I am a nurse, blogger and entrepreneur. I help people who have lost hope in their weight loss journey wade through all the hype so that you can finally get control over the battle with food.
My name is Tammy and I am a married mother of four. I also have been blessed with two amazing grandsons. I have struggled with my weight for most of my life. This is my journey to improve my own health and fitness. Read more about my transformation story on my blog. I am a registered nurse working in a small community hospital. On the side I am an entrepreneur building multiple streams of income. Most of all I love teaching and I love seeing people make positive changes.
My story is one of SLOWWWW progress, but progress nonetheless. I started putting on weight as a teen but most of my weight came as a leftover “gift” after each one of my 4 pregnancies. Over the years I have tried many diets. Most of them worked in the short term. But like for many people I ended up gaining the weight back and then some. I never made permanent changes and I felt like I couldn’t maintain the calorie restrictions that those diets required. With much learning and much trial and error I have found what works for me.
In the midst of this journey I found that I LOVE encouraging other people to do the same. I have learned so much and some days when I am able to impart a bit of hope to someone in their struggle, I feel like I am living in the sweet spot. My progress is slow but I believe each milestone for me is worth every minute of the effort it took to get there. I believe that these changes are permanent and I am done with yo yo diets.
